DIY Carpet Refresher

Why I made my own carpet refresher
Listen I have 3 children and 3 fur babies that track dirt and dust back and forth. And not only do I want to protect them from toxic chemicals but I also have to have the means to support all these โwild animalsโ. Expenses add up fast. So, if there is a way, I can cut costs and help keep my family safe while keeping my home clean., you know I am going to try it out. And that is just what I did with my carpet refresher.
I have been using my home-made carpet refresher for over 2yrs now and I will never go back to buying that big box stuff anymore. The ingredients are simple and safe and inexpensive, and it WORKS! You donโt even need a whole lot. A little truly goes a long way. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes, vacuum it up and your carpets will not only be smelling so fresh and so clean, but they will also feel so fresh and so clean. Now are you ready to make your own carpet refresher!?!?! Well letโs get to it!
All you need is 2 ingredients
Ingredients-
1 cup Baking Soda
10 drops of your fav Essential Oil (you can use more than one of any combination you like, you do you boo! :))
Pour the baking soda in a bowl and add your essential. Then give it a good mix. And thatโs it. Now you have your own very own non-toxic carpet refresher at a fraction of the price of the store brands.
You can either use your hand and evenly sprinkle the carpet refresher over your carpet. Or you can put it in a container w/a lid that has holes, to sprinkle. I purchased my container from the dollar store.
Once you have evenly sprinkled the carpet refresher let it sit for at least 20min. You can let it sit longer if you would like. I have left mine on for up to 4hrs. Once you are ready go ahead and vacuum up the refresher and then just enjoy the amazing fragrance and refreshed carpet.
